About the Role
Our Defence and Security team provides design and engineering services for nuclear and defence clients. We are seeking Structural Engineers with transferable skills to join our growing practice, supporting projects in highly regulated environments for air, land, and sea defence establishments, the UK nuclear submarine fleet, and nuclear power stations.
Responsibilities
- Develop solutions through all RIBA stages in highly regulated environments.
- Manage projects and prepare project deliverables, including managing quality, budget, programme, and resources.
- Prepare bids and proposals.
- Develop good working relationships with clients.
Requirements
- Experience in the analysis and design of large industrial facilities (e.g., power station buildings, large manufacturing facilities, dockyards).
- Good all-round technical design expertise using British, American and international standards, and/or Eurocodes.
- Good understanding of structural theory with proven problem-solving ability.
- Ability to manage projects and preparation of project deliverables.
- Ability in preparation of bids and proposals.
- Develop good working relationships with clients.
