About the Role

Develop and execute Sidetrade's operational security strategy, lead security improvements, and build capabilities to respond to evolving threats. You will influence architecture and development decisions, strengthen detection and response, and translate security risks into clear business priorities. Join our international R&D team focused on building secure, business-critical financial software.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the operational security roadmap.
Work with product, infrastructure, and corporate system owners to deliver the security roadmap.
Translate security requirements into practical controls and evidence of effectiveness with governance and compliance colleagues.
Prioritize security risks, agree on an improvement roadmap, and communicate progress and investment needs to senior leaders.
Develop the security operations center (SOC) capability, strengthen detection and investigation, and coordinate incident response.
Embed security into architecture and the development lifecycle, partnering with engineering teams on threat assessment, testing, and remediation.
Oversee vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, manage security suppliers, and use measures to improve control effectiveness.
Assess emerging risks and establish safeguards for AI-enabled products, including data protection, access control, and monitoring.

Requirements

Significant experience in operational cyber security, including leading people or major security programs and delivering measurable improvements.
Practical experience of incident response, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
Strong understanding of cloud and infrastructure security, identity and access controls, and secure software development.
Ability to work constructively with engineers and business leaders, explain risk clearly, and make proportionate decisions.
Experience turning security strategy into a deliverable roadmap, coordinating stakeholders, and managing security suppliers.
Curiosity and sound security judgment about AI-enabled products.
Fluent English and confidence working with international teams.
