About the Role
As Kitchen Porter, you are the hero who keeps the kitchen spotless, safe, and ready for action. You will assist the team where needed, maintain equipment, and ensure a clean environment for food preparation. This role is part of a team that values collaboration and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment quickly and thoroughly
- Keep floors, surfaces, and bins clean following set routines
- Ensure all kitchen areas, including storage and prep spaces, remain spotless
- Assist the kitchen team with basic tasks such as unloading deliveries and organizing stock
- Organize kitchen tools and equipment to support an efficient workflow
- Adhere to hygiene and food safety rules like HACCP
- Handle cleaning materials and gear safely and responsibly
- Identify and report any issues or hazards immediately
Requirements
- No experience needed; training will be provided
- Some experience in a cleaning or support role is a plus
- Ability to work comfortably on your feet in a busy, active environment
- Team player with a positive and flexible attitude
- Strong attention to detail and pride in cleanliness
- Reliable and hard-working
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to follow instructions and ask questions when needed
