Responsibilities
- Partner with Operations Leadership to ensure all warehouse functions are completed.
- Assign work to warehouse associates to meet company and customer standards for service, quality, safety, and productivity.
- Plan, assign, and direct the work of warehouse associates within a designated area.
- Report defective or damaged products and follow up with appropriate corrective action.
- Manage warehouse associate responsibilities, including loading and unloading, forklift operation, and product relocation.
- Handle and document daily inspections, including equipment and inbound/outbound trailer inspections.
- Check inbound/outbound shipments for compliance, reporting quantity differences and quality issues.
- Maintain communication with Traffic and Customer Service.
- Coach and provide feedback to warehouse associates.
- Perform assigned projects as instructed.
Requirements
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
- Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud.
