About the Role

Color's Growth Marketing team is responsible for driving revenue and impact across our entire book of business. We are hiring a Growth Operations & Automation Manager to take ownership and enable our team to scale. This person will be the operating system behind our energetic and dynamic team. This is an individual contributor role and reports to the Director of Engagement Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Turn the team's problems into clear requests for product and engineering, get them prioritized, and follow them through to launch
  • Build smaller tools and automations yourself, and remove manual work
  • Build and run the systems and processes that support our campaign calendar, QA and documentation, and weekly reporting
  • Act as a "go-to" resource for a wide range of requests related to improving processes across the team
  • Make it easier for clients to approve marketing campaigns and for the team to handle customization requests
  • Own weekly reporting across channels and accounts
  • Own the team's annual and quarterly planning process: setting the cadence, keeping goals current, and holding the team accountable to them
  • Help set data standards across campaigns, including naming conventions and tagging
  • Identify and understand gaps in existing processes and tools, and implement fixes
  • Own the contracts and budget for the marketing tech stack, tracking renewals, evaluating new tools, and working with finance on forecasting
  • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering and client services, to support projects that drive revenue and patient impact

Requirements

  • Experience in marketing operations, product operations, technical program or product management, strategy and operations, or business operations, working independently without dedicated analyst support
  • The ability to deeply understand a messy problem and translate it into a clear written request: what's wrong, who's affected, what done looks like, and what's out of scope
  • A working understanding of how engineers build, enough to scope a request, ask good questions, and know when to build something yourself and when to ask for help
  • Have built operating cadences, planning processes, or business reviews from scratch in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
  • Have built or owned a measurement framework from scratch, not just reported metrics someone else defined
  • Experience using AI to make your own or a team's work measurably faster, and the judgment to check what it produces and when it isn’t the solution
  • Are fluent with spreadsheets, business intelligence dashboards, and project management softwares
  • A bias toward action: you don't need a lot of direction to get moving, and you see systems, not just tasks, instinctively working to improve them
