About the Role
Product engineers at Nylon own a product stream end to end, focusing on customer problems and the outcomes for the firms that use our platform. You will engage with customers, identify impactful solutions, build and ship them, and iterate based on user feedback and results.
Responsibilities
- Talk to customers weekly via calls, onboarding sessions, and support threads.
- Decide what to build by weighing customer pain, usage data, and commercial impact.
- Ship early and iterate on user behavior rather than stated intentions.
- Own the results of your product stream, including adoption, retention, revenue, production health, observability, and incident response.
- Work full stack, including UX design using our design system, bringing in dedicated design resources when necessary for polishing.
Requirements
- Demonstrated evidence of ownership.
- Experience taking a product from customer conversation to production and measuring its impact.
- Comfortable communicating with partners at accounting or law firms.
- High agency, owning outcomes rather than tasks.
- Ability to reason about technical and commercial trade-offs, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience using AI tooling to improve development speed and curiosity about future AI applications.
- Ability to showcase a personal project (repo, app, product, or business).
- Right to work in Australia.
- Experience in or alongside accounting, tax, law, or other professional-services industries is a plus.
