About the Role
As Strategy Manager, you will work directly with the CEO and Leadership Team on active M&A workstreams, strategic projects, and the operating rhythm that keeps the business moving. You will own workstreams end-to-end, surface risks, and ensure nothing important falls between the cracks, acting as the glue that connects people and drives decisions.
Responsibilities
- Running M&A workstreams with multiple threads in flight at once
- Leading strategic projects, coordinating multiple workstreams, stakeholders and milestones to keep initiatives on track and deliver successful outcomes
- Maintaining the fundraising data room and coordinating with external advisors to keep materials tight and timelines on track
- Picking up cross-functional strategic projects outside the normal BAU cadence and bringing structure and resolution
- Owning the LT operating rhythm — OKRs, business reviews, meeting cadence — so leadership’s time is spent on the right things
- Preparing board packs, investor updates, and materials for strategic reviews that are clear, accurate, and don’t need a rescue the night before
- Building financial models and business cases that are decision-relevant, not just comprehensive
- Acting as an extension of the CEO — connecting the right people, keeping priorities moving, and managing information flow with discretion
- Contributing to culture and connection — town halls, leadership forums, and offsites — in partnership with the P&C team
Requirements
- 4–8 years in strategy, consulting, investment banking, corporate development, or BizOps — ideally with some exposure to M&A
- Project management skills to drive projects through to successful delivery
- Experience working directly with founders or senior leaders and knowing how to operate in their orbit
- Strong commercial and financial judgement
- Highly organised with a bias for follow-through
- Natural connector — builds relationships across teams and levels, people bring you in early, and you know how to get the right people into a room to make a decision
- Low ego, high impact — energised by making others successful and comfortable working behind the scenes
- Freight, logistics or marketplace experience is a bonus, not a must
- Ability to apply if you do not meet all the above criteria, prioritizing impact, aptitude and passion
- Ability to inform of any reasonable adjustments needed during the interview process
Skills
- Product management skills or experience desirable, with strong prioritisation and cross-functional delivery capabilities
- Excellent written and visual communication — ability to turn complex information into a clear one-pager or board slide, pitched right for the audience
