About the Role
We are seeking a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act as a Housekeeper for our resident facilities. This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care and be able to motivate while maintaining relationships with staff and residents. The right candidate will always strive to do the best job possible, to be creative and to work towards accomplishing facility goals.
Responsibilities
- Performs general cleaning duties in resident rooms and common areas
- Follows outlined daily and weekly cleaning and deep cleaning schedules
- Follow established policies governing infection control
- Maintain an organized work area and keep the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards
- Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrates the community hospitality promises towards residents, families, associates and vendors
- Other related duties and responsibilities that may become necessary or as directed by the supervisor
- Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeping Specialist is primarily responsible for the daily cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned common areas, hallways, residential units, rest rooms, offices, and furniture.
- To assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand or walk for 6-8 hours in an 8 hour workday.
- Associate must be able to work in a 24 hour operation.
