About the Role
As our Pricing Analyst, you will help shape and deliver our pricing strategy, ensuring customers receive the best market prices while protecting company growth. You will own the analysis behind pricing, diving into data to surface commercial insights, determine the effectiveness of promotions and price changes, and provide clear recommendations to Category Managers and Marketing. This role also involves leveraging AI and automation to streamline repetitive tasks and focus on high-impact strategic questions.
Responsibilities
- Track competitor pricing weekly for key brands and categories, identifying significant moves and recommending responses.
- Monitor market price positioning using competitor pricing tools and suggest changes balancing competitiveness and sustainable growth.
- Measure the impact of promotions and price changes, differentiating successful initiatives from unsuccessful ones, and informing the promotional calendar.
- Rebuild price position reporting by replacing manual checks with automated, AI-assisted workflows.
- Perform pricing analysis for new products and support range/assortment analysis for new brand additions.
- Maintain accuracy of data and rules within pricing tools and collaborate with the Data team to resolve issues.
- Address pricing inquiries from Customer Experience and other departments to ensure pricing accuracy and build trust.
- Represent pricing in cross-functional projects, contributing pricing insights and managing resulting actions.
- Translate business requirements into actionable steps and maintain current SOPs and documentation.
Requirements
- A few years of experience in an analytical role (pricing, commercial, finance, strategy, data, or consulting).
- Experience working with large datasets and translating them into actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Demonstrated use of AI in work, such as building automated reports, reworking workflows, or enhancing analyses.
- A proactive approach, taking ownership and seeking out new challenges or process improvements.
- Ability to clearly explain numerical data to stakeholders and defend data-backed viewpoints.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure pricing accuracy.
