About the Role

The Global Research, Informatics & Platform Solutions team provides data management and decision support tools to optimize research and development. This role supports multiple areas within Research & Discovery to build visualizations, transform data, capture data, and support end users, while participating in data flow documentation and requirement gathering. It's a cross-functional role, working directly with discovery scientists and technology stakeholders to optimize data capture, visualization, and decision-making.

Responsibilities

Communicate with scientific individuals from Discovery teams to understand existing workflows and data flow & gather requirements.
Design and implement technology solutions that integrate, visualize, and analyze complex multi-platform data, including omics, biomarkers, & preclinical safety.
Understand the value in capturing data properly and integrating data sets.
Work directly with scientists to support their dashboarding or technical needs.
Demonstrate high proficiency in python, SQL, & other technologies for data storage, transfer, integration, visualization, and analytics.
Ability to work on multiple, sometimes very different, projects at one time.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree.
Background in life sciences, biology, or equivalent required.
Dedicated team player who can interface with discovery scientists and IT partners.
Strong programming proficiency in Python (and possibly other modern languages) and strong familiarity with data visualization and pipelining tools such as Spotfire, or equivalent.
Understanding of software development process and familiarity with CI/CD tools.
Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration & training, including documenting and presenting technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders: outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Familiarity with modern data science and AI techniques & interest in further developing technical skills and scientific knowledge.
Ability to work independently, multitask, and work within timelines.
A self-motivated learner and thinker with a hands-on approach.
