About the Role
The Senior Supply Chain Analyst coordinates inbound and outbound shipment appointments and supports transportation and customer service operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role works closely with carriers, customers, and third-party logistics (3PL) transportation providers to maintain shipping schedules, support on-time outbound pickups, and resolve scheduling and transportation issues.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and maintain appointments for all inbound and outbound shipments
- Download and distribute daily schedules using Excel
- Monitor the shipping schedule throughout the day to confirm on-time pickups for all outbound shipments
- Work closely with carriers and customers to research, schedule, and reschedule inbound and outbound appointments as needed throughout the day
- Perform random audits of shipping and inventory functions
- Provide backup support for Customer Service as needed
- Work closely with 3PL transportation providers to assist with problem-solving as needed
- Serve as the backup to the Transportation Manager, including updating files for the weekly meeting
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Clerical and/or administrative experience
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Customer service focus with strong communication skills
- Ability to understand and learn information relevant to the transportation economy
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands in a dynamic shipping and manufacturing environment
- Internal job transfers will be restricted for the first 18 months of employment.
