About the Role
We are seeking a mission-driven, collaborative Technology Project Manager to support FIDF’s rapid digital transformation and operational growth. This role will serve as a key thought partner and “right hand,” helping to shape technology priorities and deliver impactful solutions across the organization. This hybrid position blends strategic project oversight with hands-on business analysis, optimizing systems, workflows, and digital experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects (e.g., infrastructure upgrades, CRM enhancements, integrations, workflow automation, reporting, and digital tools).
- Define and manage project charters, scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Champion standardized project management practices, tools, templates, and documentation across the organization.
- Coordinate internal teams, external vendors, and consultants to ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables.
- Track progress, proactively manage risks, and provide clear, timely updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Support change management and user adoption strategies for new systems and enhancements.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to gather and document business needs and functional requirements.
- Analyze existing systems and workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement or automation.
- Translate business objectives into actionable technical specifications for developers and vendors.
- Facilitate user testing, training, and post-implementation support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline—or equivalent professional experience.
- 6+ years of project management and/or business analysis experience, ideally within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
- Strong understanding of major enterprise platforms and systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, digital engagement, reporting tools).
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Monday, Microsoft Project, or similar).
- Demonstrated success managing cross-functional projects and engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Empathetic, collaborative leadership style with a growth mindset.
- Highly responsive, service-oriented approach to internal stakeholder management.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Experience working in a rapidly evolving, high-growth environment.
- Passion for FIDF’s mission and commitment to nonprofit impact.
- Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, CAPM, Agile, Scrum).
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem and Blackbaud products.
- Experience implementing or scaling systems and processes in nonprofit, education, or similar sectors.
