About the Role
Protiviti is seeking an AWS Security Risk Manager to join their Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security Engineering team. This role will assist clients in identifying, assessing, and managing security risks to facilitate secure cloud adoption, modernization, and transformation. The Manager will translate business requirements into AWS Security solutions, build client relationships, mentor junior staff, and contribute to expanding Protiviti’s AWS data engineering capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex business and data requirements into practical AWS Security solutions.
- Develop trusted client relationships.
- Mentor Consultants and Senior Consultants.
- Contribute to proposals.
- Help expand Protiviti’s AWS data engineering capabilities.
- Identify practical opportunities to improve data reliability, accessibility, performance, and cost.
- Work directly with client engineering, security, and compliance teams as an embedded SME.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on security experience across cloud and/or enterprise environments.
- 2+ years of consulting or professional services delivery experience.
- 1+ year of direct AWS experience in a security-focused capacity.
- Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency (CloudFormation or Terraform).
- Prior delivery experience in a large, regulated enterprise environment (financial services strongly preferred).
- Comfortable operating under change-control and audit scrutiny.
- Able to produce clear written documentation (architecture decision records, security patterns, runbooks) suitable for client Tech Risk review.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills.
- Works to the stated engagement location / time-zone overlap.
- Follows AWS ProServe and client onboarding, security, and vetting requirements.
- Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise data platforms and pipelines on AWS.
- Strong client advisory, facilitation, executive communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Successful completion of a background check is required for employment offers.
- Must be able to work in the US.

- $125,000.00 - $200,000.00
- $140,000.00 - $224,000.00 (Total Cash Range)
