About the Role
As a Supermarket Assistant, you will provide Partner-led service and passion for food to customers, ensuring they have a positive experience and remain loyal to the Waitrose brand. This role is for individuals 18 years or older. Specific opportunities are available in East Sheen, with part-time temporary roles requiring 18 hours per week on Fridays and Saturdays from 21:00 to 07:00. Applicants must be able to work at the specified locations. Working preferences will be discussed at the interview.
Responsibilities
- Stock replenishment to ensure shelves are full and products are correctly placed.
- Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery.
- Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns.
- Supporting the wider shop team with tasks such as checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment through general shopkeeping tasks.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to work at the specified locations (West Ealing and Worcester Park, or East Sheen for temporary roles).
- Must be able to work part-time roles working 15-25 hours a week across seven days to include weekends, between the hours of 22:00 and 07:00.
- Some roles may be subject to pre-employment vetting, including DBS checks and financial probity checks.
Skills
- Communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction.
- Experience in a customer-facing role is welcomed.
- Up-to-date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
- Flexible approach to support the whole branch.
