About the Role
Seeking a Civil/Site Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our Water group in Suffern, New York.
Responsibilities
- Work on land development, water resources, and municipal projects.
- Design site plans including layout, grading, erosion control, drainage, and utilities for land development projects.
- Prepare design reports for drainage, water supply, and sanitary sewer.
- Comply with local municipal codes and make submissions to municipalities.
- Respond to municipal review comments.
- Perform stormwater management designs for land development projects.
- Develop flood mitigation plans.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of watercourses, lakes/ponds, and dams.
- Review plans for proposed private projects and perform design and inspections for municipal projects.
- Work in an engaging and supportive environment.
- Manage technical, budgetary, and communication responsibilities for multiple projects.
- Collaborate with staff members in the Suffern office and other Weston & Sampson offices.
- Perform field and inspection work periodically.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS.
- Experience or interest in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and HydroCAD.
- PE or EIT is preferred.
- Strong writing and verbal communications skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Valid driver’s license.
