About the Role

Zinc Network is seeking a Research Officer to conduct detailed desk research and produce visually compelling, succinct, narrative-led quantitative and qualitative research reports. This role is contingent on funding being secured and is a three-month contract.

Responsibilities

Undertaking background desk research and social listening
Undertaking Russian and Moldovan language Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) with senior stakeholders
Working through quantitative data sets to profile attitudinal audiences and their motivations
Leading story board sessions with research and strategy colleagues to establish report narratives
Creating visually compelling, narrative led reports that ladder up to clear insights and recommendations
Using AI tools to augment analysis and report design
Presenting research findings to internal and external stakeholders
Data checking and proof reading reports

Requirements

At least three years of experience in market research, including designing and managing quantitative research studies end to end
Experience with social listening tools (e.g. Pulsar)
Experience with hypothesising and analysing cluster analysis (e.g. k-means or hierarchical) and/or developing qualitative typologies
A strong record of creating well written, insightful quant and qual reports that require a minimum of senior level revision
Strong analytical skills with an eye for accuracy
Ability to present data in an accessible, story led manner
Being able to think strategically and turn insights into actionable business recommendations
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (esp. PowerPoint and Excel)
Strong numeracy skills
Confident in presenting to senior level clients
Thrives working within a small team and shaping and developing your role
The ability to work autonomously, with an ability to progress work and projects without ongoing input from senior colleagues
A strong understanding of the history, culture and politics of Moldova
Fluency in Romanian and Russian
Disclose any previous disciplinary action against them resulting from a substantiated safeguarding (including any breaches involving trafficking- related activities) or workplace investigation.
Undergo background checks including employment verification, sexual offender registry (as available), identity confirmation, and anti-terrorism vetting.
