About the Role
The Rental Service Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the Rental Fleet is properly documented, accounted for, maintained, checked in/out, and ready for rental. This role requires proactive communication of equipment and scheduling issues to the Service Manager.
Responsibilities
- Performing machine check-ins and updating system records.
- Updating equipment notes for status and rental period changes.
- Scheduling Rental Technicians for maintenance, repairs, and other tasks.
- Filing Warranty Claims.
- Supporting the Service Manager with safety training, inspections, and procedures.
- Assisting the Service Manager with operational duties such as answering calls and approving technician hours.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Service Department.
- Experience as a Rental Agent or Rental Supervisor in the heavy equipment or auto industry.
- Experience coordinating work with other departments.
- Strong technical competence in mechanical functions and specialized equipment repair.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software relevant to service operations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
