About the Role
The Senior Software Engineer position requires a motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive engineer with a strong “can-do” attitude. This role will be responsible for the development and support of Corporate Tax Workstation products, with a strong focus on the Microsoft technology stack. The position also requires the ability to mentor, coach, and motivate other team members.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive team experience.
- Participate in peer code review processes.
- Provide regular status updates to the Project Lead and Project Manager.
- Mentor, coach, and support other developers within the team.
- Provide proactive work status updates to International / India liaison teams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand technical and business requirements.
- Estimate, design, code, and test applications using Microsoft .NET technologies, primarily C#.
- Develop and support solutions using Dynamics 365, including plugins and related customizations.
- Create application design specifications and document coding efforts.
- Analyze medium to complex business and technical problems and provide practical solutions.
- Participate in technical design discussions and prepare clear design documentation.
- Troubleshoot and debug technical issues across application, database, and integration layers.
- Create and implement unit test plans and unit test cases.
- Support release and deployment activities into production environments.
- Ensure assigned deliverables are completed on time and with quality.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft development environments, including: .NET / C#, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, Dynamics 365 development, Dynamics 365 plugins, Powerflows, IIS Administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Microsoft certifications would be considered an advantage.
Skills
- 4+ years of full-time experience in .NET Framework / C# development.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 development, including plugins and customizations.
- Experience with Power Automate flows and related workflow customizations.
- Front-end development experience using HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- React experience would be considered a nice-to-have.
- Strong SQL skills, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience using GitHub or similar source control/release management tools.
- Understanding of release and deployment processes into production environments.
- Strong experience in object-oriented design, relational database design, and XML design.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to collaborate and brainstorm with other developers in a team environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, task management, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
