About the Role
Shine is a financial copilot for entrepreneurs and small business owners, now part of Cegid, a European leader in cloud software. We are building Europe's leading financial copilot for small businesses and their accountants, supporting over one million small businesses and 15,000 accountants across Europe.
Responsibilities
- Own the AML and fraud roadmap, setting strategy for risk scoring, transaction monitoring, sanctions and PEP screening, and real-time fraud detection.
- Define KPIs such as false positive rate, fraud loss rate, time to resolve a case, and the share of alerts closed without manual review.
- Translate regulatory changes in four markets into scoped work with owners and dates.
- Shape the customer experience of strong authentication, phishing protection, and account alerts.
- Build back-office tools with analysts to remove the slowest steps in alert and case management.
- Own the trade-offs between rules and models, data quality, and AI triage for alerts, ensuring explainability and an audit trail.
- Set the strategic direction for transaction monitoring and behavioral analytics across countries.
- Write requirements that hold up in an audit and provide compliance officers with evidence for quick approval.
- Drive discovery and delivery by talking to customers and analysts weekly, identifying multi-problem fixes, and mixing structural improvements with quick wins.
- Lead the product response to incidents like fraud spikes, alert backlogs, and detection failures, ensuring root cause fixes.
Requirements
- 5+ years as a Product Manager in a start-up or scale-up.
- Experience building AML, fraud, KYC, transaction monitoring or sanctions screening products, or comparable risk products in payments or marketplaces.
- Proven expertise in product discovery, delivery, and data analysis, including pulling and reading data to size problems.
- Working knowledge of system architecture, data pipelines, rules engines, or machine learning-based detection.
- Experience managing incidents and bugs and holding a high bar for operational reliability.
- Comfort in a regulated environment where requirements change and not everything is defined up front.
- Ability to work with compliance officers and fraud analysts and make decisions with them on incomplete evidence.
- Fluent in English.
- French, German, Dutch or Danish is a plus.
