About the Role
Weave is seeking its first BDR to build a repeatable outbound engine. You will initiate conversations with CTOs and VPs of Engineering facing pressure to demonstrate the ROI of AI coding tools. Your role involves identifying leaders, highlighting the urgency of the problem, and generating qualified pipeline. This is a hands-on position where you will collaborate with founders and the GTM team, test messaging, and develop the outbound playbook for future hires.
Responsibilities
- Create qualified pipeline by researching target accounts, identifying engineering leaders, and converting cold accounts into booked meetings.
- Develop human-sounding outbound messaging for email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels, avoiding generic sequences.
- Participate in events and dinners, engaging with attendees and converting interest into pipeline.
- Build the outbound playbook by testing personas, segments, hooks, objections, and channels, and documenting successful strategies.
- Facilitate feedback by relaying prospect insights to founders, marketing, and product teams weekly.
Requirements
- Comfortable making cold calls, asking pertinent questions, listening actively, and securing next steps.
- Strong writing and research abilities to craft concise, compelling outreach messages.
- Curiosity about software development, AI coding tools, and how technical leaders evaluate new software.
- Prioritizes booking quality meetings over achieving vanity activity metrics.
- Demonstrates resilience, follow-through, and organization when managing a large account set.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, testing new ideas, and making progress visible in a startup environment.
- Ability to work in person from the San Francisco office five days a week.
