About the Role

Weave is building the definitive platform for understanding and improving how engineering teams work, using AI to provide a more accurate and actionable view of productivity, impact, and collaboration. As the Founding Growth Engineer, you will own the self-serve funnel end-to-end, turning website visits into product usage and pipeline for sales. This is a unique opportunity to join at the ground floor and influence how millions of engineers and leaders perceive engineering work.

Responsibilities

  • Own the funnel end to end: website, signup, onboarding, activation, expansion.
  • Build the website like a product, including landing pages, pricing, programmatic SEO pages, interactive demos, and docs entry points.
  • Make onboarding take minutes by owning the signup and first-run experience for Weave and the Weave Router.
  • Run the experimentation engine by building and utilizing A/B testing, feature-flag, and event-tracking infrastructure.
  • Build the growth data stack, including attribution, product-qualified lead scoring, and CRM sync.
  • Automate lifecycle communication through email and in-product sequences triggered by team actions.
  • Partner with product engineering on in-product surfaces, the Founding Marketer on launches and content, and the GTM Engineer and AEs on self-serve to sales handoffs.
  • Be flexible to handle diverse tasks including frontend development, programmatic SEO pipeline building, attribution debugging, and data analysis.

Requirements

  • You are an engineer first, with experience shipping production code across the stack and continuing to write it weekly.
  • You have a proven track record of growing something, demonstrated by owning a funnel, rebuilding a signup flow, or executing a successful programmatic SEO strategy.
  • You think in funnels and cohorts, are fluent in SQL and product analytics, and understand the difference between moving and meaningful metrics.
  • You possess product taste and can differentiate between making the product easier to want and using dark patterns, pushing back when necessary.
  • You move fast and own outcomes, proactively identifying and fixing the biggest funnel leaks.
  • You care about developer tools and understand the preferences and trust factors of engineers.
  • This role requires 5 days in office in SF.
