About the Role
As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, you will lead Refractal deployments at UK and European banks, insurers, and enterprises. You will work within customers' security, risk, and AI teams to implement Refractal in their environments and provide feedback to the product team.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical deployments from initial integration to production, ensuring clear plans, owners, and success criteria.
- Integrate Refractal with customers' AI agents, copilots, models, and security tooling.
- Translate customer policies and regulatory requirements into enforceable controls.
- Assist managed security service providers in deploying Refractal for their clients.
- Develop connectors and reference implementations, and contribute fixes to the core product.
Requirements
- 6+ years in software engineering, with at least 2 years in customer-facing roles (e.g., forward deployed, solutions, technical consulting).
- Strong Python skills.
- Proficiency with APIs, cloud environments, and identity management.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents.
- Ability to communicate clearly and calmly with CISOs, risk leaders, and engineers.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites across the UK and Europe.
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is a plus.
- A background in security engineering or at a security product company is a plus.
