About the Role
Refractal is seeking an Operations Lead to manage finance, people, legal, and compliance operations across its London, Podgorica, and United States locations. This hands-on role involves building and running processes to support the company's growth, allowing founders and the team to focus on customers and product.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day finance operations, including invoicing, payments, expenses, payroll, and month-end close.
- Oversee people operations from offer to first day, including contracts, payroll, benefits, visa logistics, and onboarding.
- Coordinate legal and compliance administration with advisors, covering filings, insurance, and certifications.
- Ensure consistency of policies, payroll, and suppliers across international locations while meeting local requirements.
- Select, set up, and maintain internal tools and suppliers.
- Manage office, travel, and events logistics.
Requirements
- Experience running operations at a growing company, ideally an early-stage technology business, with ownership of multiple functions.
- Working knowledge of UK finance operations, payroll, and employment administration.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Clear, concise writing and confident communication skills.
- Discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential information.
