This position involves operating a 26-foot box truck, completing daily delivery routes, communicating with customers, and working with a helper to deliver furniture safely into customers’ homes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26-foot box truck
- Complete assigned delivery routes
- Communicate with customers
- Lead the delivery team
- Ensure deliveries are completed safely, professionally, and on time
- Deliver furniture to customers’ homes
- Provide white glove in-home delivery service
- Place items in the customer’s requested room
- Protect customer property during delivery
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Handle route paperwork, delivery notes, or required app updates
- Complete routes safely and on time
- Carry heavy, bulky, or awkward furniture items with a teammate
- Represent the company professionally at all times
- Lift, carry, push, and maneuver furniture inside homes
- Deal with stairs, tight hallways, apartments, large couches, beds, dressers, tables, and other heavy items
Requirements
- Must be able to safely operate a 26-foot box truck
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be dependable and show up on time
- Must be able to work Tuesday through Saturday
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and maneuver heavy furniture
- Must be able to communicate professionally with customers
- Must be able to work as part of a two-person team
- Prior furniture, appliance, moving, delivery, or box truck experience is preferred
