About the Role
Senior Software Engineers at PPRO make significant decisions, contributing to the team's product, culture, and spirit. You will solve complex technical problems, influence architecture and technical direction, mentor engineers, and contribute to code.
Responsibilities
- Own products and services end-to-end, including architecting solutions for customer-facing disputes and chargebacks.
- Collaborate in a dynamic environment to define boundaries in disputes and chargebacks across payment methods.
- Be an integral part of the team's culture and ways of working, utilizing agile methodologies, pair, and mob programming.
- Use the latest technologies to solve real problems for customers at scale.
- Take full operational responsibility for owned services, ensuring security compliance (GDPR) and potentially participating in an on-call rotation.
- Share knowledge, build creative solutions, and help the team evolve best practices.
Requirements
- Results-orientation, collaborative, pragmatic, and with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Multiple experiences working with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and building scalable products and services.
- Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
- Experience or a strong interest in the complexities of Disputes or Chargebacks.
- Comfortable making UI changes in React; full stack experience is desirable.
- Great problem-solving abilities and the ability to articulate tradeoffs of technical problems to a broad audience.
- Working proficiency in English.
