About the Role

You will own the data, materials and processes that shape how several hundred investors understand Blackbird's performance. You will build the numbers behind the story, quarterly performance and portfolio reporting, fund-level analysis, benchmarking against our peer set, and then work out how to frame them so an investor understands not just what happened but why it matters. You will get the analysis right first, then get the narrative right. You will work directly with the Head of Investor Relations, our Partners and our operations and investment teams, and over time you will take on direct contact with investors yourself. It is a rare seat: full visibility into how a venture firm actually performs, how capital gets raised, and how the best technology companies in the region are funded and built.

Responsibilities

  • Own the data. Maintain investor and fund data, and ensure every figure reconciles to its source of truth.
  • Transform fund and portfolio data for due diligence questionnaires and ad-hoc investor requests.
  • Perform fund-level analysis, including performance attribution, portfolio construction, and vintage tracking.
  • Produce quarterly reports, investor presentations, and data room materials.
  • Improve efficiency by using AI, systems, and better processes to shorten response times for inquiries.
  • Partner with operations, investments, and community teams to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
  • Contribute to firm-level projects such as capital raising, data migration, and new system implementation.

Requirements

  • Ability to analyze messy, unstructured data, ask the right questions, and reconcile information from multiple sources.
  • Forensic attention to detail with a system for checking all produced work.
  • Skill in building clear, well-structured presentations and reports.
  • Strong financial literacy and curiosity about venture return drivers.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing requests against deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, with the confidence to propose and execute fixes.
  • Proficiency in using AI tools to enhance speed and efficiency, with sound judgment applied to AI-generated output.
  • A hospitality mindset, contributing to a positive experience for founders and investors.
  • Interest in technology and the companies being built in the region.
  • Two or more years in a role where analytical accuracy was paramount.
  • Demonstrable experience producing polished material for a demanding audience.
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets and data tools beyond the basics.
