About the Role
Drivers on this local job will operate in a 250-mile radius of Chester, NY, delivering fresh and frozen groceries on a reefer trailer to supermarkets and distribution centers. The role involves multistop loads, with drivers typically handling 2 loads per day or one long load, and picking up return product or backhauls. Trucks are slip seated, and drivers will use automatic and manual daycabs. Uniforms are provided and maintained by the account. The freight is mostly no-touch, but drivers may be trained to unload with a pallet jack if assisting other accounts.
Responsibilities
- Deliver fresh and frozen groceries on a '53,'51,'48 ft reefer trailer to supermarkets and distribution centers within 250 miles of Chester, NY - NY Hudson Valley, the 5 boroughs and Long Island (After required training), NY, CT.
- Pick up return product at the final stop or pick up a backhaul back to the DC.
- Assist with unloading using a pallet jack when necessary.
Requirements
- 3 months class a experience with a 53 foot trailer
- Clean mvr
- Clean background
- NO SAP DRIVERS
- Must be able to pass a hair and urine drug test and a DOT physical
