About the Role
As a Business Data Steward, you will be responsible for the strategy, executions and end to end management of the business data model. Responsibilities
- Lead data governance and stewardship across the wealth management business, establishing standards for data definition, management, and usage.
- Own data quality and integrity, including metadata, business glossaries, data lineage, classification, retention, and critical data elements.
- Partner across business, technology, compliance, and operations to identify data issues, improve processes, and ensure consistent data practices.
- Support regulatory, privacy, and risk requirements by ensuring business data is properly governed and meets Canadian wealth management standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years in wealth management and/or data management.
- 5+ years working with wealth management data.
- Strong communication and stakeholder leadership skills.
- Understanding of data governance principles, data risk, and data management.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in both technical and business contexts, translating business concepts to technical language.
- Proven track record of team collaboration, taking ownership, driving initiatives to completion, and delivering results.
- 5-10 years of experience in wealth management business data.
