- Develop targeted institutional deposit gathering strategies, including operating balances, high-interest savings solutions, term deposits, and other approved liquidity solutions.
- Lead senior-level client discussions, presentations, and account planning in coordination with internal partners to convert strategic priorities into measurable deposit and revenue results.
- Apply rigorous pricing discipline and relationship economics, balancing deposit value, liquidity characteristics, client sensitivity, funding objectives, and overall relationship profitability.
- Collaborate with Capital Markets Treasury, Risk Management Solutions, Products, Operations, Technology, Legal Affairs, Compliance, and other Bank partners to deliver integrated, client-centric solutions.
- Monitor market, regulatory, and competitive trends influencing NBFI liquidity and transaction needs, translating them into proactive client strategies.
- Represent National Bank Financial Markets (NBFM) at relevant industry and client events to enhance the Bank's visibility and relationships.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience in treasury, treasury services, financial institution coverage, corporate banking, capital markets, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience with clients in the financial institution sector and a solid understanding of the operational models and treasury needs of banks, insurers, asset managers, pension funds, private equity firms, and/or other NBFIs.
- Demonstrated expertise in deposit gathering, liquidity, and treasury management, along with a strong knowledge of payments and related transactional products.
- Solid understanding of institutional deposit economics, pricing, liquidity characteristics, relationship profitability, and the Capital Markets environment.
