About the Role
Steel Sports is a Social Impact business dedicated to inspiring youth to reach their potential through its coaching system. Responsibilities
- Lead 3-5 sessions and 1-2 games per weekend.
- Plan and conduct soccer training sessions for players of various ages and skill levels.
- Teach fundamental soccer skills, techniques, and strategies.
- Develop and implement practice drills and game plans.
- Provide guidance and feedback to players to help them improve their performance.
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive learning environment.
- Ensure the safety of all players during training sessions and games.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding player progress and team updates.
- Attend team meetings, coaching clinics, and workshops to enhance coaching skills.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in soccer and working with children.
- Knowledge of soccer rules, strategies, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage behavior and maintain discipline during training sessions and games.
- Patience and enthusiasm for working with children of all ages.
- Regularly required to use a computer for extended periods of time and be able to communicate using a computer and phone/smart device.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities require close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
