About the Role

As a Software Development Engineer Intern, you will join an 11-week Summer Internship Program designed to give you hands-on experience, expand your professional network, and build core industry skills. This full-time opportunity runs from June through August 2027.

Responsibilities

Work with Java, TypeScript, Python and other technologies to build applications, tooling, or microservices at CarGurus
Work on a product engineering team with an engineering manager, product manager, and other engineers
Participate in whiteboard sessions and design conversations on engineering the best solution to the challenges at hand
Test out new insights with novel and quick experiments
Write clean, well-tested, and efficient code

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with eligibility to complete a full-time internship.
You have coded with a high-order programming language such as Java, JavaScript, or Python, and studied algorithms and data structures
You work well autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment
You are eager to learn and expand your capabilities
You care about quality of design as well as have a bias toward action
