About the Role
ERC Pathlight is seeking a dedicated Milieu Therapist to facilitate groups, provide meal support, and offer milieu support, de-escalation, and behavior coaching to patients in various programs. This role is crucial in providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals with eating disorders and mood, anxiety, and trauma-related conditions.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates curriculum-based groups.
- Provides meal monitoring and support.
- Documentation of groups, meals and patient check-ins and observations.
- Provides support to Milieu including de-escalation and crisis management.
- Provides support to Milieu including bathroom monitoring.
- Provides support to Milieu including monitoring outside breaks.
- Conducts self-harm and suicide assessment.
- Support morning routine in IP/Res programs.
- Collect weights, vitals and urine in some settings.
- Implements individual behavior management plans for some patients.
- Serves as clinical lead for the program in standalone programs in evenings and weekends.
- Lead more advanced groups.
- Coverage for Primary Therapists with support from Clinical Manager or Clinical Director.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mental health or related degree program.
- Master’s degree in mental health or related degree program.
- Intern or associate license from appropriate state licensing board.
- Minimum 18 months of experience in a behavioral health or related field (requirement waived with relevant master's degree).
