About the Role
Metz Culinary Management is seeking a Retail Manager for its operations at Niagara University. This role oversees retail food outlets, ensuring high standards of food and service, and offers a potential stepping stone for aspiring Food Service Directors.
Responsibilities
- Ordering and purchasing
- Weekly and month end inventory
- Maintaining food cost goals
- Develop and oversee the production of café daily menu
- Complete weekly productions prop and pull sheets
- Training and scheduling of café staff
- Maintain quality service and quality food
- Adhere to cash handling procedures for register and safe
- Maintain professional uniform appearance
- Oversee Operations and Employee Management in Retail sales from all Food Outlets
- Ensure customer satisfaction and good public relations
- Maintain food quality and customer service in a cash handling retail food operation
- Assume GM’s responsibilities and authority in his/her absence
- Assist in maintenance of cash control and payroll records
- Assist in supporting the financial/HR functions
Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, use simple math, follow and give oral and written instructions
- Requires related experience in retail food service management
- Experience desired in a Contract Dining Food Service setting such as Hospital, School, College, Senior Living or Corporate Dining accounts
