About the Role
Waldorf Astoria New York is seeking an In-Room Dining Order Server to unveil a new era of luxury which embodies the spirit of New York City. This role involves processing in-room dining orders and spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Responsibilities
- Bring an upbeat and friendly attitude to all guest interactions and proactively look for ways to make their experience special
- Respond to Room Service telephones and guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner
- Capture food and beverage orders and input them into the point-of-sale system without errors
- Learn the details of all menu items, promotions, and specials so you can help guests and answer their questions with confidence
- Suggest and promote food and beverage items such as sides, desserts, drinks, and special promotions
- Reconcile checks, including verifying check totals and gratuity disbursement, and handle cash according to accounting guidelines
Requirements
- This position is part of the Local 6 Union which requires complete open availability.
- We are not able to accommodate schedule restrictions and full-time hours are not guaranteed.
- Hours and schedule are based on seniority and business needs and may be minimal at times until seniority is established.
- You must be comfortable with a schedule and hours that may vary from week to week.
