About the Role
You will play an important role in a dynamic and passionate team, collaborating on a variety of projects in the environment, renewable energies, hydroelectricity, transportation, materials, buildings, and climate change markets. Boldness, innovation, and collaboration are integral to our daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and expert review on complex geotechnical projects involving foundations, slopes, earthworks, retaining structures, groundwater management, and transportation infrastructure.
- Lead independent technical reviews and quality assurance processes for major engineering deliverables.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve technical standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
- Provide expert support to project teams during design, construction, risk management, and dispute resolution activities.
- Support business development initiatives, major pursuits, client presentations, and strategic proposals.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and project risks across large multidisciplinary assignments.
- Represent Englobe at industry conferences, professional associations, technical committees, and client forums.
- Mentor senior engineers, technical directors, and emerging leaders while fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Lead innovation initiatives involving advanced engineering methodologies, digital technologies, and emerging geotechnical solutions.
Requirements
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering consulting
- Extensive expertise in foundation engineering, slope stability, embankments, retaining structures, and ground improvement
- Significant experience delivering large and complex transportation and infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of Canadian geotechnical standards, transportation agency requirements, and quality management systems
- Experience with advanced geotechnical modelling software such as GeoStudio, PLAXIS
- Demonstrated exceptional mentoring and coaching skills

Salary/Compensations
- $130,113 - $170,773 CAD base per annum
