About the Role

As a Customer Engineer specialized in SAP, you will work with Sales teams to introduce Google Cloud to customers, focusing on SAP workloads. You will help prospective customers and partners understand Google Cloud's power, explain technical features, and solve potential roadblocks. You will contribute experience and thought leadership to support sales teams and drive direction, mission, and strategy around SAP solutions. You'll meet with customers to facilitate business transformation, map success patterns, and publish assets to scale knowledge and support further customer successes. You'll identify and parse industry trends focusing on SAP to recommend, plan for, and address core market opportunities with new solutions and use cases for positioning to customers. Finally, you will enable the sales team and counsel partners on the best way to position SAP on Google Cloud solutions, explain technical features, and problem-solve potential roadblocks on Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

Architect and design SAP HANA on cloud solutions (RISE, PCE) with infrastructure, networking, security and storage best practices.
Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
Own the technical relationship with Google’s customers, managing product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of any additional technical resources, including product management, engineering, and more.
Recommend, demonstrate, and prototype SAP on Google Cloud Platform solutions in customer environments, using best practices for SAP on Google Cloud.
Assist the SAP Go-to-Market (GTM) team with regional delivery of field-enablement for SAP on Google Cloud Platform solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or a customer-facing role working in a professional services or systems engineering team.
Experience with SAP technologies, architecture, and infrastructure needs.
Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
