About the Role

DLA Piper's Private Equity group is seeking exceptional law students for their summer program. This program offers a tailored experience working on transactional matters, pro bono opportunities, in-depth training, and networking through social events. The 10-week program provides insight into life as an associate at DLA Piper.

Responsibilities

• Work on transactional matters.
• Participate in pro bono opportunities.
• Engage in in-depth training focused on development.
• Receive support and feedback from an assigned team.
• Build network through social events.
• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
• Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing.
• Participate in digital/virtual conference calls.
• Participate in meetings as needed.
• Work under pressure and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be a Class of 2029 law student.
• Demonstrated interest in Private Equity.
• Background or education in business or finance is ideal.
• Must apply directly online.
• No immigration sponsorship is available.
