About the Role
Upstream Hospitality Group is seeking experienced bartenders for The Tap Room. This role involves creating quality drinks, engaging with guests, and contributing to a fun, positive team atmosphere in a busy, energetic environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and with attention to detail.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service to guests at the bar and in the dining room.
- Verify guest identification when serving alcohol.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of food, beverage, and beer menus, including specials and promotions.
- Ensure prompt service for bar guests and service bar.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the bar.
- Demonstrate knowledge of proper pours and glassware usage.
- Adhere to regulations regarding the service of alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
- Promote the restaurant's offerings.
- Assist fellow team members.
- Complete all opening and closing tasks, including side-work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience in a similar role.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build positive relationships.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Valid TIPS Certification or willingness to obtain.
