About the Role
This role involves designing and developing Salesforce solutions, building integrations, and ensuring security best practices. You will collaborate with product teams, troubleshoot issues, and mentor other engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow and platform APIs.
- Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and internal or third-party systems.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs, balancing usability, maintainability and platform limits.
- Apply Salesforce security best practices, including sharing, permissions and Lightning Web Security.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and identify their root causes.
- Improve deployment pipelines, release practices and monitoring.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with architects, administrators, product owners and other stakeholders.
- Adhere to all Information Security Policies.
- Completing other duties as directed.
- Work outside of normal business hours including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
Requirements
- Salesforce Certifications (e.g. Platform Developer I, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II)
- Familiarity with declarative development tools of Salesforce, such as Validation Rules, Process Builders and Flows
- Familiarity with coding development tools of Salesforce, such as Apex, Aura and LWC
- Experience working with Salesforce Integrations – including Salesforce’s own tool set and working with other platforms and their developers in enabling integrations to Salesforce
- Financial Services Experience
- Excellent organisational, written, and verbal communication, and time-management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 5+ years of Salesforce experience
- Experience with Salesforce integrations, ideally in Financial Services
- Experience using JIRA
- Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD and Test Automation
