  • Maintain accurate incident and problem-management documentation.
  • Plan and execute technical work for approved IT projects, deployments, migrations, upgrades, replacements, and infrastructure changes.
  • Develop technical implementation, testing, migration, rollback, and recovery plans as required.
  • Lead or coordinate assigned technical work and provide technical guidance to the IT Engineer without assuming personnel-management authority.
  • Identify technical dependencies, risks, resource requirements, and implementation issues and ensure completed projects transition effectively into operations.
  • Monitor systems and infrastructure for performance, availability, capacity, security, backup, and reliability issues.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot backup and recovery technologies and participate in restoration testing, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
  • Identify single points of failure, recovery deficiencies, capacity limitations, and other resilience risks.
  • Recommend and implement improvements that increase availability, recoverability, redundancy, security, and performance.
  • Serve as a senior technical resource and provide guidance, mentoring, and troubleshooting support to the IT Engineer and broader IT team.
  • Develop and maintain technical procedures, runbooks, configuration documentation, network diagrams, recovery documentation, and other knowledge resources.
  • Provide technical input on work assignments, technology evaluations, planning, and operational improvements.
  • Promote consistent technical practices, security, documentation, change management, and professional customer service.
  • Provide advanced technical support and escalation assistance to the IT Manager and IT team.
  • Provide technical assistance during critical incidents, planned maintenance, technology implementations, disaster recovery activities, and other after-hours events when required.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party technology providers on assigned technical support issues.
  • Identify technical risks, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement and communicate them to the IT Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
