About the Role
The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for repairing, installing, and troubleshooting refrigeration coolers, commercial refrigeration beverage equipment, and vending machines. This role also involves performing preventative maintenance and working on mechanical and electrical components.
Responsibilities
- Repair and upgrade refrigeration equipment
- Maintain existing refrigeration equipment
- Understand the operations of vending machines and beverage equipment
- Diagnose malfunctions and defects in equipment
- Read blueprints and electrical/electronic schematics
- Grasp electrical and plumbing concepts
- Operate tools, gauges, and other testing equipment for refrigeration systems
- Perform preventative maintenance to avoid future problems or breakdowns
Requirements
- 2-3 years of Refrigeration/HVAC experience
- Practiced in safe work habits
- Able to safely replace mechanical and electrical components including motors, moto starters, switches, solenoids, pumps, refrigeration valves, and compressors
- Able to respond to unplanned breakdowns with a sense of urgency
- Able to demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be a self-starter
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Can multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment
- Must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times
- Must have a clean and neat appearance
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong work ethic and decision-making skills
- Strong analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Must possess strong organizational skills and follow-up procedures
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Experience within the Beverage Industry is a huge plus
- Must have weekend availability throughout the year
- Flexibility to work additional hours, including holidays, may be required
