About the Role

Join BAE Systems’ Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA) business area and contribute to the development of cutting-edge Software Defined Radio (SDR) capabilities for the Compass Call program, a vital electronic warfare platform. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and testing of high-performance software that controls and processes RF signals, enabling critical mission capabilities. This is an opportunity to work on a challenging and impactful program in a collaborative, Agile environment, leveraging modern software development practices and tools.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test software for controlling and processing signals.
Implement and optimize algorithms for modulation, demodulation, signal analysis, and jamming techniques.
Integrate software components with hardware platforms, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.
Participate in code reviews, contributing to high code quality and adherence to coding standards.
Collaborate closely with systems engineers, hardware engineers, and test engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.
Develop and maintain software documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development processes and tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, ensuring system reliability and stability.

Requirements

Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in software development.
Proficient in C/C++ and Git.
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman).
Experience developing software within an Agile team.
Experience with Linux software development.
