About the Role
Gentle Dental is seeking a Part-Time General Dentist with a focus on Endodontics and Root Canal Therapy in San Francisco, California. This role offers a unique opportunity to dedicate your clinical schedule primarily to endodontic procedures within an established multi-specialty dental organization, benefiting from a strong referral network and modern technology.
Responsibilities
- Perform anterior, premolar, and molar root canal therapy.
- Conduct endodontic examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Provide emergency root canal treatment.
- Perform pulpotomies and pulpectomies.
- Diagnose and manage dental pain and endodontic emergencies.
- Complete core buildups following endodontic treatment.
- Evaluate and refer complex endodontic cases requiring specialist care.
- Collaborate with Endodontists and other dental specialists when appropriate.
Requirements
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
- Active California dental license or ability to obtain one before employment.
- Current DEA registration, CPR certification, and NPI.
- Demonstrated clinical experience and confidence performing root canal therapy and other endodontic procedures.
- Strong endodontic diagnosis and treatment planning skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based dentistry and high-quality patient care.
- Excellent communication and patient relationship skills.
- Interest in developing and maintaining an endodontic-focused general dentistry practice.
- Advanced endodontic experience is preferred.
- An endodontic specialty residency is not required.
