About the Role
The Gund Company has an immediate opening for a full-time Composite Operator I. We are looking for a mechanically inclined, motivated team member who is ready to contribute to our operation and grow with us.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture molded glass polyester sheets.
- Select and install machine components, such as dies, spacers, shims and/or stops according to specifications.
- Trim/file and de-flash molded sheet edges and perform in process measuring and material inspections.
- Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Clean dies and molds, using scrapers, brushes, scotch pads or air hoses.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing industry with mixing, batching or compounding equipment is preferred.
