About the Role
Stuut is seeking its first Design Engineer to own the look, feel, and functionality of its AI-powered B2B revenue-to-cash platform. You will work across the entire product lifecycle, from initial design to production code, collaborating with engineers and product managers to create intuitive and powerful user experiences for finance teams.
Responsibilities
- Own design and frontend end-to-end, from customer problem to shipped code across the Stuut dashboard and payer-facing experiences.
- Design how AI agent actions, reasoning, approvals, and audit trails are presented to build trust in automation.
- Make complex workflows for invoices, disputes, payment plans, cash application, and customer hierarchies scannable and fast.
- Build and own Stuut's design system, including component library, tokens, and interaction patterns.
- Create working prototypes rapidly to test concepts with customers.
- Gather customer insights through calls and product analytics to guide product decisions.
- Ensure post-launch quality, including craftsmanship, accessibility, performance, and error states.
- Utilize coding agents for prototyping and shipping, while managing testing and debugging.
Requirements
- A portfolio showcasing end-to-end shipped work, including identification, design, development, and learning.
- Strong production experience with React and TypeScript within a large codebase.
- Proficiency in visual and interaction design, with a track record of clarifying complex, data-dense B2B products.
- Comfort reasoning about APIs, data models, and implementation details beyond the UI layer.
- Ability to make decisions using customer research and product data, and to revise them as needed.
- Daily use of coding agents, with the ability to explain and stand behind their output.
- Thrive in a fast-growing startup environment with high ownership and ambiguity.
