About the Role
Roman Empire Logistics is seeking enthusiastic, team-oriented individuals to join our growing delivery team. This customer-facing role is crucial for reliably and respectfully representing the company, ensuring order fulfillment, prioritizing safety, and achieving client satisfaction. As a field representative, you will be responsible for delivering parcels to customer doors, adhering to delivery instructions, and providing an excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Load hand trucks and deliver packages (up to 50 lbs) by foot in all weather conditions, efficiently, safely, and punctually
- Follow strict safety standards and practices throughout all delivery stages from package pickup, transport, and delivery
- Operate an electronic device/mobile phone for GPS and daily records of deliveries using apps
- Contact customers, when necessary, to deliver packages in a safe location and follow their directions
- Interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner
- Report to anchor points to pick up routes and meet at additional anchor points timely
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to read and speak English
- Have a valid, non-expired State ID or Driver’s License (New York City cards are NOT acceptable)
- Must be physically capable of moving boxes up to 50 lbs. and push a large hand cart throughout the streets of Queens, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Consent to a drug test
- Familiarity with a smart phone for communication and delivery apps
- Have a positive, can-do attitude and be a team player
- Come to work on time and be respectful towards managers and team members
- Willing to work on holidays and weekends, when needed
