About the Role

Penske is seeking a CDL Class A Truck Driver to deliver grocery freight for a major grocery chain. Drivers will operate newer, late-model Penske trucks and will be home daily. This role emphasizes safety, customer service, and career growth within a stable, nationwide company.

Responsibilities

Deliver grocery freight, including freezer, cooler, and dry products, to a major grocery chain.
Perform dock-to-dock deliveries with no pallet breakdowns required.
Unload and stage product in designated store areas.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL required.
Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in the state of residence.
Must currently hold, or be able to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years.
3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
Ability to follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
English language proficiency is required.
Must be able to work the required schedule and at the specific location.
Must complete Penske employment application.
Must submit to a background investigation, including past employment, education, and criminal history.
Must pass a drug screening.
Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Must be able to accept responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.
Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter/exit the vehicle and cargo area.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
