About the Role
SWTCH is looking for a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our growing tech team. You will design, build, and optimize automated deployment pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and core infrastructure tooling, working closely with development and operations teams to streamline deployment, testing, and software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Docker Swarm and Kubernetes platforms.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation to improve reliability and build speeds.
- Collaborate with Development and Architecture teams to build highly available cloud environments.
- Build and extend toolchain including AWS services, Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and shell scripting.
- Maintain and enhance automation tooling and deployment infrastructure in line with SOC 2 best practices.
- Identify and improve parts of the architecture lacking redundancy.
- Build monitoring, alerting, and tooling to surface issues quickly.
- Write and maintain clear documentation for infrastructure and processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, release engineering, or build automation.
- 3+ years with large-scale distributed infrastructure and client-server architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container technologies in a microservices environment.
- Experience deploying and managing infrastructure as code with Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Strong experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure automation.
- Experience with CI/CD, continuous testing, and monitoring and alerting tools such as Grafana and the ELK stack.
