About the Role
DISCO is building AI that litigators can rely on during live matters. As a lawyer technologist on our unified litigation platform product team, you will set DISCO’s legal data strategy and carry it through, working directly with litigators, translating their needs into product priorities, and partnering with engineering and AI teams to build it.
Responsibilities
- Own DISCO’s legal data strategy, defining the approach to legal information coverage, quality, and reliability across DISCO’s AI-powered products.
- Translate litigation workflows into product priorities by assessing practitioner needs and defining actionable priorities for the team.
- Partner with Engineering, AI, Design, and Commercial Strategy teams to design and ship initiatives for practicing lawyers.
- Establish repeatable processes for evaluating, organizing, and maintaining legal information to improve coverage, quality, and usability.
- Utilize data to inform prioritization decisions and identify operational improvements in legal information management.
- Communicate progress, tradeoffs, risks, and dependencies clearly to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Former lawyer, legal professional, or product manager experienced with legal workflows.
- 5+ years of experience navigating complex U.S. legal or compliance matters.
- 10+ years across some combination of law, strategy, consulting, legal technology, product, or operations.
- Proven ability to run complex, cross-functional initiatives from idea through execution.
- Ability to engage in strategy conversations with executives and manage operational details.
- Clear communication skills adaptable to legal, product, and technical audiences.
- Sound judgment in commercially and legally sensitive situations.
- High ownership mentality, comfortable with ambiguity.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
