About the Role
You'll take ownership of designing, building, and shipping production-grade systems that power ranking, personalisation, and reward structures in real time. You work hands-on with a small, high-ownership team and have real influence over how infrastructure is built as the team grows.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship production-grade systems for ranking, personalization, and reward structures.
- Develop systems that shift user behavior and optimize ranking for user value and business sustainability.
- Create measurement frameworks to prove system effectiveness.
- Own end-to-end development of ranking and personalization systems for real-time user reach.
- Build reward and payout infrastructure balancing user motivation, cost, and business value.
- Develop behavioral prediction systems using time-series and sequence models.
- Implement measurement and validation using A/B testing, causal inference, and uplift modeling.
- Develop and maintain ML infrastructure including pipelines, training loops, serving, and monitoring.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship on shipping discipline and impact.
Requirements
- Shipped production systems end-to-end, from formulation through impact measurement.
- Full-stack capability: data pipeline to live serving to monitoring and decay.
- Experience with causal thinking: propensity scoring, instrumental variables, contextual bandits, uplift modeling.
- Experience building systems handling high-volume behavioral datasets and real-time inference.
- Published work or equivalent research discipline.
- Builder's mindset with zero-to-one experience valued.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and data science teams on measurement and infrastructure.
- Experience with real behavioral data at scale, handling cold start, sparse reward, and imbalanced value distributions.
